I've always found Apple's web design to be a bit lacking. Everything looks pretty, but functionality and access to certain content (especially in the Support section) is often really difficult. Considering how efficient and tidy everything in the OS is, I'm often shocked at how clunky and non-intuitive most of the navigation is.

As far as e-commerce goes though, the Apple Store is one of the better sites I've seen. There still seems to be a bit too much going on for my tastes, however.

It's the larger online stores that struggle... navigation, specials, related items, and reviews - that is a steaming load of data to display. I think Apple runs one of the best online stores today.

As a matter of fact, I find the non-store sections equally intuitive and easy to use. I am currently reading "Dont' Make Me Think" and are keenly aware of usability now - more than ever. I wonder if they do any usability testing...
